Make sure your walk to school is a safe route with well-trained crossing guards at all intersections!
You must be extra cautious around traffic and not be impulsive!
Ask an adult to accompany you the first couple of times you walk to school!
Wear a bright coloured hat to be more visible to drivers!
Make sure to look left, then right, then left again when crossing a road!
Don't run, always walk (even if you're running late to school)
Be alert!
Don't plug in ear phones as you won't be able to hear what is happening on the roads!
Organise a walking school bus with other children around your area!
